Not to the professional level as expected

The information all appeared to be accurate and mostly up-to-date. However, the chapters are exceedingly wordy. The author likes to "circle" around the subject(s) but rarely addresses a problem directly. This is not the book for you if you are looking for a book that is linear (e.g. 1 + 1 = 2). the best example I had with this book was searching for an explanation and description of an equation, yet the book never gave a precise explanation. It clearly liked to inject extra words to fill up space - or possibly convolute the understanding of the subject. At times , it felt like I was reading papers by students trying to hide the fact they did not fully understand the subject. I would be cautious about using this book.
